Bora Bora, French Polynesia

In 1942, the US Navy deployed 3500 GIs on Bora Bora to help win the war in the Pacific. Since then, the stories and legends of this place have captivated the world including a Rogers & Hammerstein musical featuring a character and a song about Bloody Mary. Today we got to see, and buy the t-shirts at world-famous Bloody Mary’s on our island tour with a tour guide is the grandson of one of the GI’s from that era.
