Sydney, Australia

At daybreak on a beautiful morning we sailed into Sydney Harbour, by the iconic Opera House and under the famous Harbour bridge. It was surreal to be here, after so long planning and hoping to get here. Many of our fellow early risers were on deck to capture the moments in the light of dawn.

Since docking in the scenic harbour, we’ve been :

  • Manly Beach — a surfer haven and famous expansive beach

  • Toured the Famous Sydney Opera House

  • a Magic Flute performance preceded with an unforgettable gourmet dinner at the Opera House

  • Featherdale wildlife park home to adorable koala bears, penguins, wallaby’s, aggressive Roos and more

  • Clocking an average of about 10,000 steps and 3 - 5 miles a day walking and climbing steps

  • Blue mountain tour including rides on the world’s steepest train, cable car, scenic skyway and an rainforest hike

  • Sydney’s traffic reminiscent of Denver’s rush hour (vehicles on the left side of the street)

  • Shopping in charming, clean small beach towns

  • Sampling some delicious Australian wines and craft brews, oysters and fish

  • Been charmed by the Aussie people with their colorful expressions and friendliness

In love with Australia and each other.
