Delish dish

Our Umbria truffles made the journey to Colorado with us, securely snuggled in Jerry’s dirty socks, inside plastic bags, looking for all the world like illegal drugs. We worried needlessly that US Customs would reject the morsels but we felt it was worth the risk. As it turned out, the US official welcome home was uneventful and we were glad to have the Global Entry designation that is so automated, you sail through before you know you’ve been photographed.

Chef Linhart wanted to quickly consume the prized truffles before their freshness expired. We hurriedly gathered two couples for a fresh pasta carbonara dinner with freshly shaved black truffles imported directly from Italy. It was a delicious memory of a very special part of our fun time in Italy.
