Denver, Colorado

I really hate to boast about myself, but I truly live a charmed life.

In my career I’ve received many awards and accolades. Linhart Public Relations has been recognized nationally by our PR peers, and locally by the Denver Chamber of Commerce, Colorado Business Magazine and other publications, and has won numerous Gold Pick awards for their work. After my departure, the firm has thrived and kept my name on the door.

Over the years, I got to witness historic events, meet business and political legends, and work on exciting professional challenges of every sort. I was often frustrated, bewildered and lost, but never bored. I was able to mentor many younger practitioners, some of whom have gone on to prominent professional positions or started their own agencies. I loved my work and it led to the creation of a successful business that employs outstanding professionals, is profitable and respected, and helped grow wealth for myself and my partners. Carri Clemens, Paul Raab and Kelly Janhunen have kept the firm soaring, doing excellent work for significant clients and developing a cohesive team of superior PR pros.

I’ve been married to my wonderful, loving husband Jerry for 50 years and been blessed by a cadre of amazing friends. While I have suffered the heartbreaking loss of some of my dearest friends and my parents, I continue to enjoy a life filled with laughter, love, family and fun. I enjoy serving on two meaningful boards; Junior Achievement Rocky Mountain, and Goodwill of Colorado, where I feel I’m learning and contributing. I live in the most beautiful state in the best country in the world.

Having a special award named for me by the PRSA Colorado is the capstone, an enduring tribute to my legacy for which I’m deeply grateful. It is my hope that the winner of The Sharon Linhart PR Person of the Year will always represent the highest ethical standards, truth, community service and public relations excellence.

The Linhart PR team earned awards for their work for several clients including: Beef. It’s what’s for Dinner. Chocolove, Graebel Companies and Spire. And aren’t they attractive?

The award features a clock … Time is up? Or, there’s no time left? Or Where does the time go? You’ve served your time!

So many possible meanings!

My deepest gratitude to Paul Raab, Kelly Janhunen and Carri Clemens (not pictured) for keeping our firm thriving and winning!

Meredith Hartung won the inaugural Sharon Linhart PR Person of the Year — a most deserving recipient!

The Jane Dvorak Mentor of the Year is a new special award in Jane’s honor — most deserving!
